Crow conference in the Poplars this morning

They came streaming in from the north end of the lake

Dancing across the sky like water bugs on a summer day.

Did you hear about the eagles?

We’ll get them next time.

And the herons, what a fuss they make, just over a flyby.

But the eagle pays no heed to the crows and their complaints.

She soars quietly along the shore.

Just another morning feed.

If you want to tell me how much you love my work, please do.
